Art Deco Sideboard in Rosewood from France around 1925
This wonderful furniture we could acquire from an industrial loft in Hamburg (the owner had 2 Art Deco furniture from France to sell). The furniture was mostly in original condition and was refurbished by us (photos in original condition we can send you if interested). The sideboard has a wonderful rosewood veneer which with the reddish tones gives a beautiful contrast to the green marble. The marble top has been honed and re-polished, the colors advance between black, light green, dark green to deep emerald green. The hardware has been re-chromed and adds a great accent. The entire piece of furniture has a multi-layer build up of different lacquers and primers and has a multi-layer final coat of clear lacquer that has been intricately sanded to 3000 grit and polished. A piece of history and craftsmanship to which we could return with much love and perfection to the old splendor of the 20s.
